Ritual Burlesque (Virtual or In Person):
Integrating Witchcraft and Spirituality into Burlesque
Part I. Self-Divinity; History
Objective: The intention of Part I. is to show the students examples of themselves as divine beings.
Description: This first section is a dive into the mythological and spiritual origins of burlesque with a heavy focus on BIPOC cultures and examples of queer and differently abled spirits. We will discuss different rituals and dances throughout history celebrating sexuality and self-liberation.
Part II. Integration; Performance Elements
Objective: The intention of Part II. is to explore different ways to incorporate elements of your craft/pagan worship into your storytelling.
Description: This second section focuses on ways to integrate elements of your practice into your performance. For non-witches and pagan worshipers, explore ways to practically integrate deity worship into your routines; adding iconography to costuming; intentional music selection, etc.
